Faith CRC in Pella, Iowa is a great example of how it takes a whole church to serve the community. On Wednesday mornings, it's not just the long-time Coffee Break leaders who gather to organize the event, but also a group of men from the congregation.

Don DeWaard, newly elected mayor of Pella, started as a helper and now leads the story time for the three-year-olds. He says he does this because he loves kids and he loves watching the young moms of their community come to study the Bible together. He wants to nurture the next generation and to help their church connect to their community.

Another one of the grandpas says he loves seeing his Coffee Break kids when he is at the grocery store; lots of hugs and smiles. Bringing people together around the Bible: facilitating discussion, learning in community, carrying this legacy on to the next generation — this is the heart of Discover Your Bible in action.
