We love our kids and want to protect them. We implement policies like team teaching, windows in classrooms, safety screening, video cameras, and more to keep them safe. Is there more that we can do?

Bonnie Nicholas, Director of Safe Church Ministry is encouraging churches to try the Circle of Grace program. It equips children and youth to participate in creating a safe environment for themselves and others. A few lessons for each age group K-12 can be used alongside whatever church school curriculum you are using to help build a safe community that respects the sacredness of relationships and prevents abuse.

Bonnie is even offering the program materials free of charge to the first 50 churches to sign on! A special informational event is planned for west Michigan on Nov 10 at Twelfth Ave. CRC in Jenison from 10-2pm (with suggested donation of $5 for lunch). To find out more about Circle of Grace or register for the informational event, visit the Safe Church Ministry website www.crcna.org/safechurch

If you've used Circle of Grace, or similar material (like Safekeeping), let us know how it went and why you include it in your children's programming.
