Exciting News for CRC Children’s Ministry Leaders

I’ve never sailed solo in a boat. But having been in charge of coordinating the children’s ministry at a Christian Reformed church, I’ve experienced what it feels like to float alone. Maybe you’ve felt adrift at times in your children’s ministry leadership role too.
Mapping out a faith formation plan can be challenging. Seeking volunteers to join you on the journey can be daunting. And, while sailing wherever the wind takes you may make for a great day on the water, selecting curriculum is never a breeze.
That’s why I’m thrilled to announce that Faith Formation Ministries has hired a children’s ministry catalyzer to provide navigational support to CRC children’s ministry leaders.
Mimi Larson has been engaged in children’s ministry for over 25 years as a Sunday school coordinator in churches of all sizes, as a children’s curriculum writer, and as a college and seminary teacher in the area of children’s ministry. Mimi developed a graduate course on nurturing family faith formation and obtained degrees in educational ministries, theological studies, and early childhood education. I love that she’s a learner, don’t you?
In addition to Mimi’s deep understanding of children’s faith formation and her heart for ministry with children and their families, she loves to encourage and equip children’s ministry leaders. I’m so thankful Mimi has come aboard!
