The permission guidelines for US churches was helpful. Are the guidelines for Canadian churches identical?

Unfortunately, copyright laws seems to interfere with CRC's mission to provide readily available resources for worship since most churches now use powerpoint or equivalent. Having to ask permission for each service is a momentous task and would likely result in ignoring any resource. For instance OSJ distributed a prayer that thousands of Christians would be using last Sunday. We received this on Friday and we included it in the service on the power point for Sunday. Did we violate any copyright laws?

I propose that on the CRCNA website as well as faith alive and CRWRC website any copyright material is allowed to be displayed on power point for worship services but that permission is required if the liturgies would be published.

On each web page which shows copyright material a link should be shown to a page which is already completed to obtain permission so that it becomes very easy to ask for such permission.  As well the appropriate acknowledgement should be included on each page so that the copy and paste function can easily include the appropriate words.
