CRC Volunteer Orientation – WHY GO?

John and World Renew Staff:

I want to say a special thank-you for last week’s ServiceLink training. It was my first experience with World Renew at the Burlington offices. I found people were warm, friendly, and very hospitable. Thank-you for sharing your experiences, stories, and knowledge. I admit prior to the training I had preconceived ideas or expectations about World Renew and what might occur during the training. I’m glad to say that these were incorrect. I learned so much in 2.5 days and it was worth every hurdle with regard to family logistics, flight, and sharing a room with someone I didn’t know! I hope to pass some of this training onto my group members in Partners In Hope. It was also very beneficial to continue to expand and build the relationship with World Renew that I already have. I voiced a bit of concern about this to Crystle about a week ago in an email. After the training I feel very confident that Partners In Hope chose the right relief organization to work with. I also feel that I can be a better advocate for World Renew within my community.

Take care and God’s blessings in all that you do

Kristin
