The March 2019 issue of For Deacons addresses the particular need for deacons to provide leadership on what their oath of office calls for: that of being “prophetic critics of the waste, injustice, and and selfishness in our society, and be sensitive counselors to the victims of such evils.”
The newsletter provides an orientation to the topic of biblical justice, provides suggestions for resources on how to facilitate healthy discussion among deacons and church members, and offers resources and administrative suggestions on incorporating the justice mandate into the deacon leadership function.
