People under 30 today expect public spaces and institutions to be accessible in every way, yet many churches are not. We want this to change!
Over the next year we will be focusing on the crucial question, “Who’s missing in my church?”
Everyone is invited to join us online (free of charge!) on Wednesday and Thursday, August 11 and 12, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Eastern.
With less than a month to go, we are getting very excited about what we have planned for you, so reserve your comfy living room seat here!
On Wednesday, Zoie Sheets will share her experience being young and disabled in church. Following her presentation, we will invite others with a similar lived experience to participate in a panel discussion.
On Thursday, Anna Radcliffe and Ruth Langkamp from RCA Next Generation Engagement will discuss what the church needs to do to welcome the presence of young generations. Following their conversation, we will invite others who have been working to create change in this area within their communities to participate in a panel discussion.
In an ongoing effort to make this event as accessible as possible for everyone, we will be offering closed captioning in English, and interpretation in Spanish, Korean, and American Sign Language. We want to be sure that everyone can participate!
Want to stay updated as we get closer to the date? Here are a few ways:
