Houses of Worship Living up to Spirit of Disabilities Act

As I recently shared, last month marked the 25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).  

Progress in creating accessible and inclusive spaces for people with disabilities can be slow and daunting. Yet, there are signs of hope. Check out this encouraging article about churches (including Borculo Christian Reformed Church) that are being proactive in designing inclusive spaces. One neat way churches are doing this is by engaging people with disabilities in church building renovation projects, ensuring that from the very beginning stages consideration is being given to accessibility.
