Amie Spriensma

I’m Amie Spriensma and I grew up in Jenison, MI. While in high school, I had the privilege of studying English, Spanish, and French at the same time. I excelled in Spanish and social studies. While in college, I had the opportunity to visit Mexico and spend a summer living there. Later, God would call me to Honduras and also allow me to visit Peru, Guatemala, and Dominican Republic.

In recent years, God has shown me the mission field can shift many times, but the missionary calling remains much the same. I am called to be an agent of God’s mercy, grace, and compassion wherever I am and whatever I am doing. My seminary background at Dallas Theological Seminary provided a great foundation in Bible and theology and my CPE courses have helped me grow in empathy and pastoral identity. I never imagined myself as a chaplain when I was a younger person, but now I’m confident this is the path God has been faithfully leading me down.

I have always loved learning about the world from little kids, but I currently feel led to seek work among adult populations. Please be in prayer for me as I seek a part-time job in whatever mission field the Lord calls me to next.

Victor Perez-Ballesteros

Victor’s journey through Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) at St. Anthony North Health Campus in Westminster, Colorado has opened a door for the opportunity to work in a PRN chaplain position at Denver Health Medical Center. Victor’s professional chaplaincy work will be enhanced by his pastoral work at Cascade of Hope CRC in Denver, Colorado. Victor and his wife Sandra are the founders of Cascade of Hope, a missional church serving the inner-city community of Denver. Victor was born in Guadalajara, Mexico. He has been living in Denver for 32 years. He loves hiking, fishing, and camping. Victor graduated from Calvin Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree, and he is ordained by the Christian Reformed Church in North America.

Through his pastoral mind and compassionate heart, Victor provides both emotional and spiritual care to those experiencing pain or sorrow. “When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or naked and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?” (Matthew 25:36–37). You can contact Rev.
