At the end of September, over 100 Christian Reformed chaplains, along with 37 Reformed Church in America chaplains, gathered together for three days to worship, learn, rest, and celebrate with one another.

Our Virtual Chaplains Training (Rest. Sabbath. Hope.) enables our chaplains to collaborate with their peers, be spiritually renewed, hone their skills, and implement best practices within their profession. Chaplains provide adaptive, creative, and innovative pastoral care amid an evolving ministry landscape.

Our ministry wanted to share one of our Chaplain Training resources with all of you. Kerry Egan, writer and hospice chaplain, led us in a workshop, Writing as a Spiritual Discipline.

This practice applies to all Christians to explore how writing can be a spiritual discipline and explore ways we might engage in writing to deepen our professional practice and personal faith. Check out the video here or download the PDF of the exercise for your spiritual practice.
