This past year gave us the opportunity to reflect on 25+ years of women in office in the Christian Reformed Church in North America. The journey to opening the offices to women began with the desire for women to use their God-given gifts and callings in local and global missions. The Women’s Leadership Ministry finds its purpose in the same goal–to see the gifts of women released in the church.
The work of the Women’s Leadership Ministry is to affirm and support women in all levels of leadership. We help Christian Reformed churches and ministries create a culture in which, together, men and women thrive in pursuit of God’s mission in the world.
At our special banquet in August, Ruth Haley Barton delivered an inspired speech that renewed our commitment to see women and men in flourishing mixed-gender ministry partnerships. Grab a cup of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate and read her address to us (link to transcript attached below).
