Coffee Break has been a tool for restoration and healing in Delhi and other cities in India. This restoration started with the missionaries and has begun to take root in the churches. Coffee Break seems to be a good fit for people in India because they love talking and expressing themselves.

Song and Janice learned about and experienced Coffee Break in Busan, Korea, at the Soo Young Ro Church. Every missionary from this church receives Coffee Break training. Janice also participated in a Coffee Break group with other missionary and pastor’s wives in Korea where she experienced for herself the power of studying God’s word with others.

When they arrived in India, they discovered that many of the missionaries were discouraged. It is often difficult on the frontier of ministry. Leaders experience loneliness and can lose focus. Janice started a Coffee Break group with the other missionaries. The warm and loving community brought encouragement, comfort, and renewed focus. These leaders began to implement Coffee Break in their own settings. Today there are four churches in India with Coffee Break Ministries.
