In 2020, Faith Formation Ministries launched the Faith Practices Project, a free set of online resources that introduce the concept of spiritual disciplines in simple, accessible ways. A new resource from FFM and Faith Alive distills the valuable info on that site into a short guide for individuals and small groups.

The new booklet is called Faith Practices: Holy Habits that Help Us Love God and Our Neighbor, Listen to the Spirit, and Become More Like Jesus. It’s a great starting place for individuals or small groups who would like to become more aware of and sensitive to God’s voice in their everyday lives.

Included you’ll find an introduction to the concept of faith practices as well as suggestions (such as lectio divina passages, journaling prompts, and creative action ideas) for exploring twelve faith practices:

  • sabbath

  • gratitude

  • generosity

  • hospitality

  • engaging Scripture

  • justice and mercy

  • listening

  • celebrating

  • prayer

  • wonder

  • remembering

  • service

Faith Practices is available for purchase at FaithAliveResources.org. You can view a sample here. Bulk pricing is available, so consider making this helpful resource available to your congregation.
