Churches have been realizing that worship spaces and practices are not always accessible to people with disabilities and have been reaching out to Thrive for help. Thrive is hosting a series of roundtable conversations in the month of October with the goal of learning together, sharing resources, and brainstorming helpful and sustainable practices. Save the date! More information is coming soon.

October 3, 1:00 p.m. EST:  Disability consultant, Lindsay Wieland Capel, invites us to think through accessible worship spaces. Think beyond ADA compliance to include things like offering sensory-rooms and alternate worship spaces.

October 17, 1:00 p.m EST: Dwell children's ministry curriculum developer, Jill Benson, invites us to think about how to welcome children of all abilities in our children's ministry spaces.

October 31, 1:00 p.m. EST:  Worship consultant, Katie Roelofs, invites us to think through how our worship practices can be more accessible and inclusive for all. This includes things like screen projection, worship without words, and how to reimagine passing the peace to be more hospitable.

Save the date! Coming soon to the virtual roundtable!
