The special Sunday for Thrive is quickly approaching! It is designated for this year on March 16, but can be acknowledged on a different Sunday if necessary.

Here are some resources and ideas to help your church commemorate this day and highlight the work of Thrive throughout the denomination:

  • Many churches have already ordered bulletin inserts for this special Sunday. If needed, it is attached below.
  • Take an offering to financially support Thrive's work to equip and encourage congregations.
  • Include Thrive's PowerPoint slides in your pre-service or offering rotation.
  • Borrow this language for a blurb in your bulletins, website, or social media:

"Thrive equips churches and ministry leaders with the encouragement, connections, and tools you need to flourish. Thrive’s work begins with listening to congregations as you identify your needs. They then work to connect you with practitioners, peers, or resources to answer your questions or navigate your unique circumstances. As seasoned ministry leaders, Thrive staff are eager to develop tools or serve as resources for the wellbeing of your congregation. To connect, visit crcna.org/thrive"

  • Show this short video (4:05) explaining who Thrive is and what Thrive does.
  • Share one (or all) of the following materials as examples of some written resources that Thrive makes available to churches in English, Spanish, and Korean:
  1. Weekly Faith Formation Tips available to run in bulletins (subscribe here for them)
  2. "Spiritual Characteristics of Children, Teens, and Young Adults" - a web-based resource that is available in printable PDFs as well.
  3. Leading with Integrity: A Guide to the Code of Conduct  (web-based and PDF formats) study sessions for ministry leadership to engage with and explore.
  4. "10 Ways" documents - valuable resources on various topics of faith formation and congregational empowering  (only available in English and Spanish - see attachments below for a sampling).
