I watched as LGBTQ+ people were 'welcomed' into churches only to see that they really had no space at all. I watched as my daughter fell in love with orphans in Africa and returned time and again to build friendships with them -- and she watched people in the pews support a wall at our southern border and the imprisonment of children and 45 and...
We should begin by lamenting... those pews will not be filled within our lifetimes.
I simply lean on the promises to Abraham, that God will be faithful to generations of those who have loved him...
because I, too, no longer recognize the church nor denomination that nurtured my faith into being.
