Posted in: How to Choose a Children’s Storybook Bible
Wonderful article. Thank you.
I'd add one more to your list. Though published in 1994, I've always appreciated The Children's Illustrated Bible (link) published by DK. As a third grade teacher, I've appreciated the historical artifacts and context, the beauty of the artwork, and the honesty and pacing of the text. Better still, this collection of stories includes less familiar but still important stories often left out of other storybook Bibles.
I'd also love to hear your thoughts on the graphic novel versions of the Bible such as the Action Bible and the Epic: The Story that Changed the World.
