As Easter Sunday quickly approaches, I'd love to know: What song songs are you singing in your church, or in your car, or in your home?

Is there a song that brings you to the cross? Or one that reminds you of the high cost of sin (of my sin, of your sin)?

Which songs speak to you of God's love poured out for us? Are there songs that speak to you of new life? Or of victory that is found in an empty tomb?

I'd love to know, what songs are you singing as we get closer to Easter?

He's turned my Mourning in to Dancing again... I want to start with that this year....

We are going the "Traditional" route since I have a brass group, organ, piano, guitar, bass, strings, etc.

Christ The Lord Is Risen Today

See What A Morning

Low In The Grave He Lay

What The Lord Has Done In Me (Because we are having a baptism)

Crown Him With Many Crowns

We're doing a lot of Getty hymns: Christ is Risen; Around the Table of the King

And, of course, ALL the favorite Easter hymns!  Really looking forward to the prelude on trumpet Easter morning!

We're a church that sings mostly contemporary Christian songs, with a growing repertoire of Indi/folk and hymns (modern and traditional). These are the songs we'll be singing for Good Friday and Easter. I can't wait!

Good Friday:

Come And Listen – Crowder, Here I Am To Worship - Hughes, Beneath The Cross - Getty, Man Of Sorrows (What A Name), How Deep The Fathers Love For Us - Townend, O Sacred Head Now Wounded, Man Of Sorrows - Hillsong, Power of The Cross – Getty/Townend, Were you There

Easter:

Resurrecting - Elevation, Look and See - Village Church, Christ The Lord Is Risen Today, Crown Him with Many Crowns/What A Beautiful Name (Hillsong), New Again - Sojourn, O Praise The Name - Hillsong, Christ Is Risen - Maher, This Is Amazing Grace - Wickham

With a band, organ, trumpets, we’re singing a wide variety on Easter. It’s a great time to be a Worship Coordinator!

Halle-Halle-Hallelujah
