Becoming a Community Focused Church COHORT (a Few Spots Still Open!)

Is your church interested in becoming a community focused church? Are you ready to help make your neighborhood and community a great place for ALL to live in, to be proud of and to thrive in, particularly those who have been marginalized?

This cohort held in partnership between Diaconal Ministries Canada and World Renew will help your church be inspired and mobilized to love, listen to, and engage with your neighbours and local organizations as you seek to cultivate a place of flourishing. Each week will feature an educational presentation and stories, small group breakout discussions, and homework. Group size will be limited because of the interactive nature.

There are a few spots still open. The cohort will include six sessions, starting Thursday, November 11 and running through April 2022. To be considered, fill out this brief form about your church and community: REGISTER HERE

Topics include:

  • Elements of a community focused church and discerning readiness

  • Defining your community

  • Listening and learning on a Walking pilgrimage

  • Creating teams and Partnerships

  • Mapping for strengths

  • Planning for sustainability
