In June of 2019 the synod of the Christian Reformed Church adopted a wide variety of directives made as a response to a report called, Addressing Abuse of Power in the Christian Reformed Church. You can see the context and specifics of all of those adoptions via the article Synod 2019 Acts on Addressing Abuse of Power in the CRCNA

While the Christian Reformed Church has not met as a synod from 2020-2021, there was a special meeting of the Council of Delegates that took up many items that could not wait. The proposed Code of Conduct will be presented for adoption at Synod 2022. The specific adoption from Synod 2019 regarding the Code of Conduct was the following (see all the adoptions regarding abuse of power of synod 2019 here):

c. Code of conduct (Video Link: Discussion 7"-1:06")

That synod mandate the committee appointed by action in Recommendation b to draft a code of conduct for all employed ministry staff within the CRC. The draft code of conduct will be presented to Synod 2020 for approval and with recommendations for implementation for the denomination, classes, and churches.

Page 41 of the Agenda for Synod 2020 stated the following update regarding the Code of Conduct:
