In the Dark of Night, Light

It was dark that night. Most people were safely home. But one man was prowling around in the dark. He was an important man, but his job might be in danger if other people found out what he was up to. Nic had heard about someone he really wanted to check out. When he found the man he was looking for, with his single pair of ears he heard words that the whole world needs to hear. They were words about the Son of Man being lifted up, just like Moses lifted up the bronze snake in the wilderness. (He knew what had happened. It was recorded in Numbers 21.) Alone with the Man, he heard, "God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life."

In the original language of the New Testament, the first word of the sentence is "so." God loved the world SO MUCH that he would do the unthinkable! The emphasis is on the INTENSITY of God's love!

All people in the world need to hear words that were originally heard by a single pair of ears in the dark of night.

So what am I doing to help make that happen? My niche is with Audio Scripture Ministries based in Holland, Michigan. Audio Bibles are provided to people who cannot read a Bible, and this is done in many languages.

And what are you doing? Would you be led to join us?
