They (some Greeks) came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, with a request, "Sir, we would like to see Jesus." John 12:21

Way back in the 1950s, in Grand Rapids, the Wealthy Street Baptist Church was on the corner of Wealthy Street and Eastern Avenue. On one occasion, the Calvin Seminary Choir was invited to sing there.The choir loft was located behind the pulpit. As we were seated in the choir loft, we could see written on the back side of the wooden pulpit the words, "Sir, we would like to see Jesus."

Those words were a continual reminder to the preacher. Those words express the desire of people who go to church at any time.
