Have you heard of the bystander effect? Very simply put, the more people present when someone is in distress, the less likely that person is to receive help.
In this workshop, participants will be encouraged to become an active bystander, someone who is ready to challenge the bystander effect by stepping in to support a person. There are a number of ways this can be done in a peaceful way that leads to positive results.
In this training you will explore:
You will look at Biblical stories through the lens of the active bystander and then consider ways in which you can implement this training in your church and your community.
