Ask a girl in your family or church how she celebrates Easter, and you’ll likely hear about what she does. She goes to church, has dinner with family, plays with cousins, and may have a tradition or two she looks forward to each year.

But when you ask the “why” behind Easter to girls of this generation, most will be at a loss, even in our churches.

Sadly, according to a recent Barna Report, only 4% of Gen Z (ages 5 to 25) adheres to a Biblical worldview. Easter is a holiday, not a holy day. And while there may be grown-ups around them that value Easter and lead them in worship and prayer, girls may fail to understand why it matters for them.

It is one reason GEMS Girls’ Clubs created a new ShineBrightly Celebrate Easter Activity Box.

The new activity box for girls, ages 7-12, contains a 10-Day countdown to Easter Devotional that helps girls discover and personalize the true meaning of Easter. Plus it provides hours of independent fun, devotions, DIY crafts, and special surprises.

Hearing and knowing what the true meaning of Easter is matters. Each ShineBrightly Celebrate Easter Activity Box will help your girls know the “why” behind Easter so they can share the true Easter message in a fun, engaging, and girl-friendly way!
