3 Simple Ways to Help Families Form Faith at Home With DWELL Flex Family Resources

Announcing our newest component for Dwell Flex users: Flex Family Resources! When Dwell Flex launched in 2020, the goal was to help churches in a variety of settings with resources to meet each church’s specific needs. As the Dwell team worked to create a family faith formation piece to accompany these materials, the goal was the same: to create something that could adapt to a variety of situations.
From this, Flex Family Resources were born. These shareable images and printable pages work with the popular God’s Big Story cards to connect each Dwell Flex session to home. Here are three steps you can take to get these resources to families in your church:
Share the image on social media, on your church website, or in your bulletin. Each Dwell Flex session has a corresponding shareable image that includes the session’s title, the Scripture reference, a simple prompt, and the number of the corresponding God’s Big Story card where families can find additional activities. You can share this image on social media, through email, on your church website, in your weekly bulletin, or in whatever way blesses your families.
Purchase a set of God’s Big Story cards for every family. God’s Big Story cards are the primary family resource for Dwell Flex, so make sure that each family has a set of these engaging cards (see DwellCurriculum.org/cards—we offer discounts on bulk orders!). This one-time expense is one of the best investments you can make to help families grow in faith together.
Families are busy. We hope these three different ways for families to engage with each week’s Dwell story will encourage simple but meaningful family faith formation that can happen anywhere and anytime.
