Grandparenting

Some of us have attended the Legacy Coalition Grandparenting Summits in recent years and came away with a new appreciation for our privileged position as grandparents in our families. Deut. 4:9 says, "... teach your children AND your children's children...."

The grandparenting ministry at CrossPoint meets 3-4 times during the year. Each meeting either has a pertinent video followed by a discussion, or we invite a speaker who is a known authority on the topic of grandparenting and has written extensively as well as spoken to many groups of grandparents. Our church library has many books, DVDs and other materials on the topic, and we continue to add new ones. 

The purpose is to be more intentional in the role of being a grandparent. The Legacy Coalition has held three summits over the last few years with 1,200 people attending the last one held in Fullerton, Calif. This summit lasted about 3 days. The previous two summits were held in the Dallas, Texas area. Please look into this great resource and see how your church can be blessed in forming a chapter. Our chapter calls itself Grand Connection.  Blessings to you and yours.
