If your church is like many, your council probably finds itself dealing with the headache of staff insurance around this time every year. Perhaps it’s one of those things that’s passed off to the next deacon or the next committee and never gets re-evaluated because insurance can be very confusing! If you read the news you understand the uncertainty and anxiety with the Affordable Care Act and the Marketplace. But did you know that you have another option?

The Christian Reformed Church sponsors its own agency who specializes in offering insurance benefits to churches. Reformed Benefits Association (RBA) was formed in 2014 by the CRC and RCA for providing health-related benefits for churches and ministries in the United States.

Reformed Benefits Association’s mission is to provide churches and participants with the peace of mind in knowing that you are cared for when the unexpected happens. RBA is a ministry, just like yours, which allows us to have a more hands-on approach in helping with insurance. We fully support the calling of your church, so you are never just a number with RBA. We are experts in our field, committed to delivering the highest level of benefits care with attentiveness, warmth and integrity.

Dan at Dorr Christian Reformed Church recently shared, “Reformed Benefits Association certainly makes it easy for our staff! I’m sure we have other options, and I’m sure that some of those other options might cost us a little less money. We would rather see our money go towards a resource that we know and trust, and one that’s been vetted by our denomination. I also appreciate knowing that our money pays claims for our pastors and church staff, rather than supporting the bottom line of another massive insurance company.” For more real-life testimonials, please visit the RBA website

For 2018, RBA is offering a benefits package through trusted, nationally recognized insurance companies. For information on what we offer and how to join, please visit www.reformedbenefits.org. Open enrollment will be held from October 23 - November 3, 2018.
