This Sunday our church had a surprise visit from two guys on mopeds -- Jonathan Stockeland and Brady Mulder. Jonathan and Brady are taking a trip around the U.S. (with a little foray into Canada) on mopeds. Mopeds only go up to about 40 m.p.h. so this is not traveling in the fast lane!

Jonathan and Brady are on a mission -- and they’re using the web to help spread their message. They are blogging and posting photos to Facebook about their ride and adventures along the way. Every chance they get they talk about justice, and the fact that there is so much human slavery still occurring in the world.

Some of you have probably seen the updates about “Tractor Dave,” Dave Wolfsen, who is traveling across the country to raise funds and awareness for disaster and response organizations. Tractor Dave and the “Moped Justice Mission” are both examples of the ways technology can be used for doing good.

I love Jonathan and Brady’s excitement and enthusiasm. You can’t help but smile as you read about their great joy in all the sights and people they’re meeting. No matter what happens, even having to replace one of the mopeds, they respond with praise for the God who is caring for them. I love the fact that technology connects us with them and their mission.

What are some of the ways you’ve seen technology connecting people, working for good in the world?
