The Network’s 15th anniversary is quickly approaching!

The Network was founded all the way back in 2010 as a forum to connect our denomination through ministry conversations, challenging perspectives, and building a wide and engaged readership. We’re so thankful for the last fifteen years, as we’ve been able to learn, communicate, and grow together.

As our 15th anniversary approaches, we’d like to invite you to join something special: the Network Writer’s Cohort. The Cohort is a set of writers who are committed to engaging with questions of faith and ministry in the CRCNA by blogging on the Network once or twice a month. They are also interested in engaging with the ideas and perspectives of others on the platform.

By Joining the Cohort, You Can . . .

  • Share Your Voice and Perspective.  Here at the Network, we are dedicated to sharing the exciting ideas, strengths, and perspectives that make our denomination what it is. Do you have a unique curriculum for connecting your middle schoolers to the catechism? Has your background in engineering or geology provided you with special skills to support your church and share God’s love with your community? Do you enjoy writing and want to share what God has been doing in your life and the lives of others? Then joining the Cohort may be exactly what God is calling you to.
  • Connect with a Community. By joining the Cohort, you’ll be able to connect and grow with like-minded, thoughtful leaders who are following God’s will and work in our denomination. We provide administrative structure and support from our end to ensure you have the tools you need to succeed. And there will also be some Network swag.
  • Develop Your Craft. You’ll be able to receive feedback, guidance, engagement, and support from editors, your fellow writers, and readers.
  • Contribute to the CRC as a Whole. As a blogger, you’ll be able to work to build and engage with the denomination as we move forward and lean into God’s direction in 2025 and beyond.

You’d Be A Great Cohort Member If:

  • You’re Able to Write Once or Twice a Month for a Year. We’ll work with you to develop a schedule that works for you.
  • You’re Engaged with and Committed to Exploring Ministry and Faith in the CRCNA. Here at the Network, we’re blessed to be able to engage with the questions, big and small, that we all ask as we seek to follow Christ through our denomination.
  • You’re Able to Agree to Disagree. The Network is a space to ask about, reflect on, and explore our faith. Sometimes we have different ideas, backgrounds, lived experiences, and perspectives; that’s totally okay. We require our writers and commentators to follow our community guidelines.

What Can I Write About?

  • Anything related to faith and/or the CRCNA! Really. Maybe you’re passionate about supporting pastors and their families. Maybe you’ve been called to serve in chaplaincy. Maybe you’re deeply engaged with Canadian Indigenous ministries. Maybe you’re a campus pastor in Ontario, California, or Grand Rapids, and you’d love to help connect our denomination to the next generation. Maybe you have a knack for writing devotionals or scripting liturgies or reflecting on the Psalms. Whatever your gift, talent, or perspective, we’d love to have you engage here on the Network.

How Do I Get Involved?

  • Fill out the interest form by February 15th, 2025.
  • Stand by for an invitation to a Zoom meeting, where you’ll be able to hear more about the Cohort face-to-face.
  • Email network@crcna.org if you have any questions!
