"Getting to Know You" New Curriculum for Non-English Speakers

Trinity CRC, with funding from an Ignite grant and by way of the English classes that we provide for our church plant for African refugees, Strong Tower Ministries, has just completed a whole new curriculum for non-English speakers! 

The beauty of this curriculum is that it provides a unique relationship building approach to teaching English that is unlike any ESL class and does not require ESL trained teachers to hold the class. A trained Spanish teacher and a Spanish professor from Calvin developed this special curriculum and it has turned out very nicely. Volunteers from Trinity now use it every week in the English class, and it has been very rewarding. 

And now we want to make it available to anyone else who is interested in building relationships with non-English speakers while teaching them English. We put a strong emphasis on building relationships because it is in the context of relationships that we also hope to have opportunities to lead refugees, many of Muslim background, into a relationship with Christ.
