In the Form for the Ordination of Elders & Deacons (2016), it reads… "Deacons are called to prompt the church to seize new opportunities to love God, our neighbours, and the creation, with acts of generous sharing, joyful hospitality, thoughtful care for the poor, and wise stewardship of all of God’s gifts."

In your church, who "prompts" your church members to live on mission (aka outreach, community engagement, etc.)? How does your church's governance structure incorporate mission?

Is the diaconate directly involved in community engagement/outreach?

Is this work delegated to an Outreach or Evangelism Committee?

Does a staff member oversee this?

If it's a committee or staff member, how are the deacon's involved? (eg. Does your Outreach Team have a Deacon rep?)
