In John 17, Jesus prayed that those who believed in him would be united (John 17:21-23). It is in the spirit of this prayer that the CRCNA, via its Ecumenical and Interfaith Relations Committee, is encouraging Canadian Christian Reformed congregations to unite with other Christian churches in your area.

The term “Ecumenical” refers to “the whole house.” When we strive to be ecumenical, we emphasize the world-wide church as one household – the family of God. This can mean combined worship services, shared outreach activities, or a variety of other ideas that work in your context.

The CRCNA wants to support the ecumenical ministry of your congregation by offering small grants to be used for events, gatherings, community services and worship opportunities that bring together churches from a variety of backgrounds.

Starting in the fall of 2018, you can apply for one of six grants ($500 maximum) available to Canadian CRCs who wish foster healthy partnerships. Learn more on the attached PDF.
