Barnabas Foundation welcomes Lindsay Canan, J.D., as the newest member of its national team of planning attorneys. Canan will augment the Foundation’s ongoing efforts to help generous Christians develop God-honoring estate plans that support the needs of their families, churches and favorite ministries.

Canan has more than 10 years of extensive experience as a private practice attorney in Michigan, and she concentrated her practice in the areas of estate planning, gift and tax planning and asset management. Canan is a member of the Women Lawyers Association in West Michigan, where she received the “Outstanding Member” award in 2019. She was named to the Michigan Super Lawyers “Rising Stars” list for her work in estate planning and probate/trust administration, and she is an adjunct professor of estate planning and elder law at Western Michigan University Cooley Law School.

“We are extremely pleased that Lindsay has agreed to join our planning team,” said James Bakke, executive director of Barnabas Foundation. “I am confident that individuals and families will find her to be an exceptional resource for their planning needs.”

Canan holds a Juris Doctor degree with honors from Western Michigan Cooley Law School, where she served on both the National Moot Court Team and the Law Review Board of Editors. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Hope College. While attending Hope, she interned on Capitol Hill with the Washington D.C. Honors Program.

She resides in Norton Shores, Michigan, with her husband and two children.

Since 1976, Barnabas Foundation has helped generous Christians transfer their wealth in ways that honor God, provide for their families and support the causes close to their hearts. For more information, visit www.BarnabasFoundation.com or call 888.448.3040.
