"God saw all that he had made, and it was very good." (Genesis 1:31a)

The Bible is full of God’s love for creation.

“Genesis 1 says that God looked on the world He had made and called it good not once, not twice, but seven times. In Genesis 2, God commands His image-bearers to “serve and protect” creation (Genesis 2:15). When God is teaching the Israelites how to be His people after rescuing them from Egypt, He mandates that not only the people but the land that sustains them shall be respected (Leviticus 25:1-5).

The Psalms are filled with God’s love for His created world for no apparent reason than its own intrinsic goodness (Psalm 19, 24, 104, among others). And don’t even get me started on the jaw-dropping beauty of Job 38-41’s divine soliloquy.” (Kyle Meyaard-Schaap, Relevant Magazine, January 2018)

As God’s image-bearers, we seek to value what God values, and to love our neighbors sacrificially.

That’s why 4 CRC ministries (World Renew, CRC Worship Ministries, Calvin Institute of Christian Worship, and the CRC Office of Social Justice) have come together to support congregations that want to lean into the creation-loving and neighbor-loving nature of God in their times of worship.

By submitting worship resources to this resource, Christian Reformed people from all walks of life have expressed their love and care for creation in this new crowd-sourced (and meticulously reviewed) collection of worship materials.
