A reminder that our North American culture absolutely knows that it allows and even celebrates the killing of unborn children.  We hear a lot of moral outrage about all sorts of political machinations nowadays, but the least of the least of these will always be the voiceless forming children who are discarded like a day-old newspaper.  Each year more than one million children are killed in the U.S. and Canada through abortion.  

I am glad to hear of people concerned about any and all true injustices - there certainly are many, and the perpetrators are many.  But any group, church, politician, or person who cannot and will not decry the moral putridity of abortion has no moral high ground to act as a champion of justice.  Some like to say that racism is the original sin of the U.S. (and some will lump Canada in on this as well).  I say that pride is our original sin, as it is pride that leads to both subjugation of fellow image bearers and murder of unwanted children.  May God grant that one day people will look back and shake their heads in disbelief that a supposedly advanced society allowed for the wanton destruction of human life on this scale, much like we look back in disbelief on the practice of slavery.
