The Ideology of Whiteness Workshop

The concept of whiteness has been part of the daily life of American society since its beginning. This artificial racial categorization feels “normal,” and is therefore seldom questioned. The Church is not excluded from this ideology, and for that reason, has contributed to division, pain, and trauma.
As we delve into the history of the United States, we find that the concept of race was intentionally created to separate groups of people and exalt one over the others. What prompted this decision? What was the motivation? How was this concept validated and preserved?
This workshop on The Ideology of Whiteness is to be completed on your own. Upon registering, you will be sent an email with instructions on how to access the workshop. Thank you!

Thanks for posting, Viviana. I have a few of questions. This looks to be self-guided; is there help from a facilitator or ministry leader? What is the objective of the workshop? What curriculum is being used? Is there a biblical theme/narrative/premise that this workshop is based on? Sorry, but I’m not seeing a lot of information on what this really is, and for $85.00 I’d like to know. Thanks!
