The CRCNA Canada Justice & Reconciliation Team is offering a unique learning opportunity on the afternoon of Friday, March 23rd at the CRCNA Offices in Burlington, Ontario. It combines a Blanket Exercise with an info session on the commitments that the Christian Reformed Church has made to Indigenous Justice and Reconciliation. This will include info on the CRC's responses to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Calls to Action, the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, and the Covenants that the CRC has committed to alongside Indigenous Peoples as we seek reconciliation with them.
The session will be hosted at the CRCNA Offices in Burlington on Friday March 23rd, from 12pm-4pm (lunch included). The cost is $25, and fees cover lunch and refreshments, as well as honorariums for Elders. Please register below and note which sessions you'll be attending. This afternoon is open to local pastors and interested congregants, as well as CRCNA staff.
This Friday afternoon session is part of a full weekend of training that is being provided for Blanket Exercise Facilitators. There will also be a Friday morning session hosted by Ed Bianchi of KAIROS, where he will review the vision of KAIROS and updates to the Blanket Exercise. If you have been trained as a Blanket Exercise Facilitator in the past, or would like to be trained as a new Facilitator, you are invited to attend the full weekend of training. In that case, please register for the full weekend of sessions.
