#WhatWouldYouBring Campaign Highlights Refugee Crisis

As we enter the Christmas season, with all the advertisements about what we should buy and images of lots of presents under the tree, it's especially poignant that we remember refugees and internally displaced persons.
The Giving Tuesday campaign by World Renew reminds us of this with the theme #WhatWouldYouBring.
Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving. Since its inaugural year in 2012, #GivingTuesday has become a movement that celebrates and supports giving and philanthropy with events throughout the year and a growing catalog of resources.
This week and on Giving Tuesday itself, World Renew is asking people to help create awareness of the situation refugees are in by sharing what they would bring if they were forced to leave home at a moment's notice.
Participating is easy. Snap a photo of what YOU would decide to take and post your photo to Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. OR make a written list and take a photo of that, or simply share a word, a phrase, a tweet, or a poem to social media.
Whatever you decide to do, remember to tag World Renew (@worldrenew_net on Twitter) and add the hashtags #GivingTuesday #WhatWouldYouBring #WithRefugees #ActionRohingya
In addition to raising awareness, donors from the U.S. and Canada can have their donations matched to help support World Renew's work in responding to refugees.
In the US — for the first time — World Renew is partnering with One Day's Wages (ODW) in the US in a bid to raise $200,000 for our Syria Conflict Response, which is focused on alleviateing hunger for Syrian Refugees. We raise $100,000 and ODW kicks in $100,000.
In Canada, Global Affairs Canada is matching gifts to the Rohingya Crisis dollar for dollar.
