Chaplaincy and Care Ministry welcomes Paul Hannemann, Chadd Huizenga and Klaas Walhout as endorsed chaplains in the Christian Reformed Church. Learn more about their stories below!
Paul Hannemann
Paul is in his fourth unit of extended CPE at Houston Methodist Hospital (Tex.) with completion scheduled in May. Paul is a member of Hope CRC in Houston and is seeking commissioned ordination as a CRC chaplain. He has an undergraduate degree in Aerospace Engineering from Saint Louis University and a Masters of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (2020). He lives in League City, Texas with his wife Charlotte.
Chadd Huizenga
Chadd recently accepted a staff chaplain position at Children's Wisconsin in Milwaukee and will begin work at the end of February. He grew up in Northwest Indiana as one of 6 children and went on to attend Trinity Christian College and pursue his M.Div at Calvin Seminary (2018). After seminary, he served as Associate Pastor at Parklane CRC in Portland, Oregon. Chadd completed his CPE residency at Riley Hospital For Children in Indianapolis, Ind.
Klaas Walhout
Klaas was recently called and ordained by the Church of the Servant in Grand Rapids, Mich. He serves as a chaplain for Trinity Health St. Mary's in Grand Rapids, Mich. He is a graduate of Calvin University and Princeton Theological Seminary (2019). And he completed his CPE residency with the Einstein Healthcare Network in Philadelphia, Penn.
