For the month of June, Diaconal Ministries Canada will be talking about Deacons @ Classis & Synod. This is some new territory the denomination is venturing into and perhaps some of you aren't buyin' it.

Why are deacons needed at these assemblies?

Don't they have enough meetings to attend and plenty of important work to do?

What can they add that pastors and elders aren't able to? 

We can't wait to hear y'all weigh in on this one! We've been compiling our own list of REASONS WHY DEACONS are needed at these larger gatherings and will release it soon.

So for starters, we want to hear from deacons who will be attending. Are you excited, horrified or neutral? What prompted you to go? What are your hopes and expectations? What are your fears? Let us know by emailing [email protected].
