Pastors to Teach in Moldova

GIl Kamps here in St. Louis. I have gone 15 times to Moscow to teach at a Bible College that was under Campus Crusades umbrella. The students "stood in awe" of the way I taught them how to read the Bible. (I usually taught Ezra - Song of Songs, or Genesis - Deut). When the students asked me where I learned to read the Bible as I did, I replied, "This is the Reformed faith at work. It is how John Calvin encouraged pastors to read the Bible." I "rounded up" some CRC pastors to go teach with me over the years.

Since that time that Bible college closed in Moscow — due to inflationary costs, and lack of students wanting to become pastors and Bible teachers in Russia. Sad. But for the last two years I have gone to Moldova (former Soviet state, located just east of Romania and north of the Black Sea).

I will most likely be heading there again to teach Gen - Deut (Oct. 18-29, 2010). I would love to see other colleagues of mine consider this 2 week teaching mission. It is work. But in Moldova you get to teach in English. I can connect you to the seminary there via website. I have found that this yearly mission is also very very good for our local church. To have our small congregation networked into the training of leaders in eastern Europe, is a great blessing.
