A big THANK YOU to everyone who participated in The Network Survey!
We received an overwhelming response, and it was great to hear from so many of you! Your feedback gives us a better idea of what ministry topics and site features are helpful, as well as what could be improved. After all, The Network is your site, so who better to hear from than each of you?
So without further ado, let’s get to the results!
For all of you visual learners, I’ve attached an infographic that shows your favorite posts and ministry topics, as well as which type of content you’d like to see more of.
In addition, here is a breakdown of your responses by question:
We asked. . . How are you currently involved?
Nearly all of you (90% of survey respondents) shared that you like to read new posts. Beyond reading news posts, 32% of you also selected that you like to post comments and 12% of you share posts on social media.
We asked. . . What is your favorite type of post?
Discussion Topics were by far the most popular choice (chosen by 62% of you), followed by Blogs (17%), Resources (16%) and then Ministry Q&As (5%).
We asked. . . What Ministry Topic(s) do you find most helpful?
The title of most helpful ministry topic was shared (a three-way tie!) by Global Missions, Church Admin & Finance, and Worship. Topics that followed closely behind were Youth Ministry, Social Justice and Disability Concerns.
We asked. . . What type of content would you like to see more of on The Network?
The top pick for what you’d like to see more of was local church stories (chosen by 34% of you). The breakdown of other posts included current events blogs (27%), guides, forms and checklists (23%), quotes and scripture (12%), and contests and humor (3%).
We asked. . . What barriers (if any) keep you from getting involved on The Network?
Quite a few of you (38%) indicated that you like reading new posts but are too busy/too shy to post or comment. The second most popular response (37%) was that there are no barriers. Beyond that, 19% of you said that you’d get involved if more conversations were happening on social media. The remaining responses indicated that the barriers are in dealing with technology or not being sure where to start/what to post about.
Thank you again for taking the time to give us feedback! In the next couple of weeks I’ll be asking The Network community for practical ideas on how to use the responses from this survey to help make the site an even better tool for doing ministry together.
P.S. The winner (selected at random) of the Faith Alive book and Network mug is Henry from Fresno CRC. Thanks to all who participated!
