Prayers for Our Churches

It's been a long time. I must apologize... I have no excuse.

우리 교단의 Home Mission을 섬기게 된 Moses Chung목사님을 위해 기도 부탁드립니다. 어려운 상황에 오시게 되었는데, 주님 안에서 흔들이지 않고 주님의 능력으로 우리 교회를 이를어 갈 수 있도록 기도합니다. 

1.5세로 그리고 처음으로 이 자리에 ethnic 리더가 되었습니다. 우리 모든 한인교회에서 기도와 협조로 정 목사를 후원하며 도울 수 있기를 바랍니다. 하나님께서 결정하신 것이라고 믿고 이제 우리 한인교회가 우리 교단에 도움을 주며 동참할 수 있기를 기도합니다. 저도 하나님께서 준비하신 분이라는 확신을 가지고 돕기 원합니다.

혼동에 빠져있는 교단을 위해 계속 기도하며 각 노회에서 주님의 격려와 주님안에서의 소망을 나누며 힘을 보태는 우리 한인교회가 되었으면 합니다. 이제부턴 우리교회는 한인교회를 말하는 것이 아니고, 모든 CRC교회를 말 할 수 있기를 기도합니다.

Moses Chung has become the new HM director in May. I'm sure he came with great expectations and hope for doing great things. Unfortunately, it soon turned into a confusing situation as Jerry and Sandy were both stepped down. I ask all Korean churches to pray for Moses (and other denominational leaders) that he will continue to keep his faith in the Lord and to discern His Spirit as he takes lead for our churches in HM.

I am calling and asking that all Korean churches to keep him in prayer. He is the first 1.5 pastor to be in this position. Time has come for Korean churches to take more active role in our denomination through prayers and encouragements. 

I ask all Korean churches to consider a paradigm shift to include all churches in CRC when we say "our church" instead of just Korean churches. It is time to stop asking what this denomination can do for us, but to ask what we can do for our denomination... this is my prayer.
