Are you involved in small group ministry and looking for ways to build community and lead new believers through God's Word?

If so, check out the Leading Bible Discovery manual. The manual, which was originally written for leaders of Coffee Break, contains information that applies to many other small group Bible discovery formats as well. The Bible discovery method has been the essential part of what makes Coffee Break successful in reaching people for Christ. The study guide questions give shape to the group conversation, like a “skeleton.” Leaders “flesh out” that skeleton with follow-up questions of their own. They are not teachers but facilitators of the conversation.

Examples of questions include:

  • What are good discovery questions, and how are they asked?
  • What do I need to know to become an effective Bible discovery leader?
  • How can a Bible discussion be outreaching?

We hope this manual can be a resource and encouragement to those who, like Coffee Break leaders, have a vision and calling to share the story of Jesus’ love through a Bible discovery group.

Love it, i do!  I have attended CRC churches in Seattle the past few years, and have recently moved into an assisted living house - with aprox. 59 neighbors.  There is a church nearby, in fact right across the parking-lot - in the building next door. I am sa d to report, tho', that this church is sold-out to the poisonous word of faith gospel; ANOTHER GOSPEL that st Paul cautioned the church about in the opening paragraphs of Galatians.

As a believer of some 30+ years, i'd much prefer starting a small-group fellowship - over directing my neighbors to a false fellowship; the end result only being having them devoured by the wolves next door! Heavens no, i won't have it; not on my watch!

I have listed the Awake Church as my home body, and am also acquainted with Randy Rowland, and his staff at the Sanctuary Church. I'd be thrilled to have either body provide the leadership to enable me to carry out this mission.

Thanks, and blessings 2 all; SRG
