Jonathan Helder started a daytime Coffee Break for men. Jonathan is a stay at home dad of two preschool children. He discovered there were limited weekday Bible study options for men with children. Most men’s studies meet before or after work hours.

Jonathan contacted Coffee Break leadership who put him in contact with Mayfair Coffee Break in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Mayfair was eager to help. They welcomed the Men’s Coffee Break to meet at the same time as their women’s Coffee Break program and invited the children to join Story Hour, Little Lambs and nursery.

The Men’s Coffee Break group currently has four men attending. The group is made up of a part-time nurse, a stay-at-home dad, a family physician, and a retiree. The group is open to all men and expects to grow over time. They think getting the word out about their group is their biggest hurdle to growth.  Jonathan said, “ I know they’re out there, we just need to find them!”
