How a Holy Week Resource for Families Inspired CRCNA Staff Devotions (And Maybe Yours Too)

Since its release in 2020, we’ve loved seeing the creative ways people have used the Dwell at Home resource, God’s Big Easter Story, to help people of all ages grow in faith together. The resource offers 8 brief devotions that encourage people to breathe, read, wonder, and pray together, which ministry leaders have used as a foundation for their own innovative ideas. (Check out how River Terrace Church created an outdoor Easter path based on the devotional.)
Inspired by the ways families and church leaders have adapted and used God’s Big Easter Story in their own contexts, Faith Formation Ministries invited Christian Reformed Church staff around the world to reflect on the story of Holy Week with video devotions based on God’s Big Easter Story and shared by CRCNA staff and church members. You can find the links to the video reflections shared below. We'd love to invite you to engage in this way as well, or to be inspired and make your own videos to share with people in your context.
Throwing Out the Money Changers
There’s still time to join in this year. Download the free resource and read one devotion each day of Holy Week, combine multiple readings together for Good Friday, or use the wondering questions to start conversations about faith throughout the week. Or come up with your own idea for exploring God’s Big Easter Story in your context. (And then tell us about it! We love to hear from you.)
Whatever shape it takes, we hope you will join us to remember, wonder about, and share the good news of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection: God’s big Easter story.
Have you and your household (or church, school, community) used God’s Big Easter Story? (If so, we’d love to hear about it! Start a conversation with us at [email protected].)
