Last year I shared ideas for what to do and what not to do in church on Mother's Day in this post. (Hang on to it for next year.) This year as we worship together-at-a-distance you may be looking for ways to acknowledge Mother's Day. I was thrilled to come across a powerful video today which can be shared this Sunday as part of your online worship or through your social media pages.
Titled The Wide Spectrum of Mothering, the video (which I wish was more racially diverse) was created by the Southwest Church of Christ and uses the words from Amy Young's litany of the same name.
You can access the video here. It's beautiful. More importantly, it's inclusive. And I can't think of a better way to demonstrate what it means to be part of God's family this Sunday.
