Phoning It In: Faith Formation Summer Interns

Hi, we’re Libby Huizenga and Lindsay Elenbaas and we are:

1. interns with Faith Formation Ministries (launched this summer at synod!)
2. going to call your church this summer.

Part of our role here this summer is to hear your church’s story about faith formation. So for the next few months we will be arranging times to speak with church leaders to hear stories about what is going well in addition to where you wish you had more help.

We believe that every church has some wisdom to share. So if you have stories of children who show that they understand what faith is all about, or adults with renewed excitement to learn, of generations getting to know each other, and young adults who stick around, then we’re here to listen, and hopefully share your stories.

If you tried something bold that didn’t go as planned, we’d love to hear what you learned. If your church is having a hard time with faith formation, then we’ll try to connect you with someone who has been where you are, someone who can help you find creative ways out.

Stories are powerful tools of learning and we want to learn from you.

It’s going to take us a while to make our way through all of the CRC churches so if you have a story you can’t wait to share, feel free to contact us—we would love to hear from you.
