How Has God Been At Work in Your Life This Year?

As another calendar year draws to a close, and as the Christian liturgical year opens, I find myself pausing to reflect on how God has been moving—not just in my own life but in the lives of others. This year has been full of challenges, uncertainty, and instability, but it's also been a year of unexpected grace, quiet growth, and deep lessons in faith. I want to ask you a question: How has God been at work in your life this year? How has God been at work in your church community, too?
For me, one of the greatest lessons I’ve learned this year is to trust God more deeply, especially when I don’t have all the answers. Life rarely unfolds in a straight line, and this year has been no exception. I’ve faced big changes in my own family, both joyful (siblings and friends getting married) and moments where my own plans, hopes, health, and dreams fell apart. All year, I've learned to rely on God’s timing instead of my own. In those moments, I’ve been drawn to Proverbs 3:5-6:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
It’s hard to trust when you can’t see the outcome, but it’s in those moments of relinquishment that I’ve experienced the greatest peace. God doesn’t promise us a life free from challenges, but He does promise His peace and presence. Time and time again, I’ve seen that He is faithful.
Let us know how God has been at work in your life and community this year below. I look forward to hearing from all of you!
