Here we go! The Network discussion on small groups is making the transition from “discussion network” to “guided network”. Congratulations to us! The conversations that have been started on the discussion forum have been asking the right questions and stretching us to think mission-minded thoughts. Hopefully, God will use the extra guidance to encourage more fresh thinking.
When I think about my work as a vision-caster, trainer and coach for small groups that are about developing disciples with a mission, I know that people will be asking questions from all sorts of ministry contexts. Some will be from long established churches who are just catching a vision for what God can do through community. Some are from churches that have been at small groups for a while and haven’t seen a whole lot of transformed lives as a result of them. Some are in ministry contexts where small groups are the catalysts for all ministry in the church. Some will be church planters who get to figure out all this from scratch. Hopefully, all of you will find a discussion or article that moves your thinking and ministry forward. Better yet, hopefully you will feel free to contribute your thoughts to the discussions.
Here’s an opening conversation starter. What is the biggest contribution healthy small groups make to the life of a faith community?
Let’s go! Let the conversations begin!

Congratulations, Ruth! Thanks for getting this going. I look forward to reading the comments and ideas of others.
Great content! I'm going to email this network to a couple of friends that would be interested in this.
